You form the backbone of an efficient, well disciplined, and versatile force: a Roman legion. To battle you carry a strong, sturdy, shield, a pilum, a short sword, heavy armor over much of your torso, greaves, and a helmet. There are few infantry in the world that could match a group of men like yourself on the field. You and your brethren fight in either semi-closely ranked formations, or more adaptable, yet disciplined, formations, as each scenario calls for.
