Air Jordan 1 Retro Ruff N Tuff Originally thought to be a strictly European release, the Air Jordan 1 Retro “Ruff N Tuff” is now available in the United States. Inspired by the Quai 54 International Tournament, an outdoor basketball competition that takes place in Paris, France, this Air Jordan 1 is fresh. They sport a Laser Blue wrinkled leather upper, speckled midsole, translucent outsole and a “Quai 54” logo on the tongue.
The Air Jordan XVI.5 (16.5) combines the Air Jordan XVI (16) and the Air Jordan XVII (17). They feature a double row of lace holes, patent leather toe box and midsole, “chrome” outsole, and “Jordan” is detailed in Braille on the heel. Plus, the colorway is almost identical to the original Air Jordan XVI, which was released in 2001. The design comes together nicely and that means it’s another Jordan Brand hybrid success story.
Similar to the Air Jordan Spiz’ike, the Air Jordan Sixty Plus (60+) is a mash up of classic Air Jordan models. In this case, each Air Jordan sneaker incorporated in the design was worn while Michael Jordan scored 60+ points. From the Air Jordan V midsole to the Air Jordan II “wings” logo, the Jordan Brand has seamlessly bridged these classic designs together. Plus, Air Jordan Sixty Plus (60+) also features a combination patent, reptile and suede upper with red accents.
The Air Jordan 2009 is not just another innovative sneaker with clean lines from the Jordan Brand; it’s the first sneaker in a new chapter. After the release of the Jordan XX3 in 2008, Jordan Brand decided that their signature model would now be named after the year it was created. This reinforces the importance of Jordan’s “23”. As for the Air Jordan 2009, it features a new Articulated Propulsion Technology that ensures a responsive feel on the court with strong propulsion characteristics.
Created by the Jordan Brand as a tribute to legendary sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan Dub Zero was originally released in 2005. The design is very unique and features recognizable elements from many Air Jordan sneakers. Some of the elements include: sole and midsole from the Air Jordan IV, patent leather from the Air Jordan XI, shape of the upper from the Air Jordan XIII, and laser etching from the Air Jordan XX. The Dub Zero is available in several colorways.
