If you are lacking purpose in your life you are likely to drift along never quite feeling satisfied. One way to establish a purpose is to set goals. Not just in work but in your life as a whole. An idea you can use is to get a pen and pad, then close your eyes and relax a moment. After you have begun to start relaxing begin to focus on what you would like your life to be like a year in the future. Get a sense of home life, work life, leisure life. The more vividly you imagine this ideal future the more effective this will be (and you can do this often). Then open your eyes and write down at the bottom (or over to the right if the paper is landscape) in detail that future life. What you will see, hear, feel. What you will be doing, the effect this will have on those around you etc. Then write for each aspect of that future what you have to do just before that can become reality, and then just before that etc until you are back in the present. You should then have stages for each goal from the first step you need to take in the present to that future. Next close your eyes and imagine going through all of those stages into the future. Imagine the next years worth of events. notice more and more detail each time you do this. Actively look out for it. When you go to bed before you go to sleep run through this process in your mind. Then take action and begin carrying out the first stages. Make the images in your mind compelling, usually this involves making them bright and vivid. Your unconscious mind will also begin to look out for opportunities that will make your dreams a reality. There was research done where they had a group of people that believed they were failures and unlucky and a group that believed they were successful and lucky. They walked the same route being observed. There was a £10 on the pavement. All of the people that believed they were successes saw the note and picked it up. All the people that believed they were failures didn't see the note. Both groups of people had the same opportunity available to them but their focus determined whether they would take it or not. That means you tend to be more shy and quiet than outgoing and loud - think quiet bunny instead of squawking parrot. Some of your favorite activities are things you do alone, such as reading or surfing the Web. In general, introverts would rather hang out with one or two close friends than a large group of people. If you respect your introvert tendencies, you'll be happier in the long run.
You are "Bad" - Michael Jackson's great song. You like leather jackets, super tight trousers and you are absolutely gorgeous! You like to stand out. You have this super attractive sharp look. People adore you and are crazy about you. You like it, but at the same time you seem not to notice it or believe it. You are in fact a bit shy inside, though on the outside you are rather self assured.
