Apocolypse (Drayton Mannor)

Apocalypse is a 54-metre-high (177 ft) freefall tower ride located at Drayton Manor Theme Park near Tamworth, Staffordshire, England. It was built by Intamin AG in 1999 and opened on 27 May 2000 by girl band B*Witched. The tower has five rows, containing four riders each. The rows tilt forwards to a 15° angle as they rise to the top of the drop tower. The ride, which has been voted 'Britain’s scariest ride', It has three different forms of seating. One is the normal sit down, another is stand-up position, the world's only stand-up tower drop until 2005 when the Hurakan Condor opened in Port Aventura and the last one is a stand-up floorless which was introduced in 2002 and is known as the 'Fifth Element'. Riders reach 50 mph and experience 4g as they decelerate after falling 54 m in 4 seconds. In 2008 the ride received an Airtime Award from amusement park fansite www.coasterforce.com, who's members voted it the "Best Thrill Ride in Europe".

Stealth

Stealth is a steel roller coaster built by Intamin AG of Switzerland. The coaster is located in the Amity Cove area of Thorpe Park in Surrey, England and opened in 2006. The ride reaches a maximum height of 62.5 m (206 ft), which makes it the third tallest roller coaster in Europe after Silver Star and Pepsi Max Big One. The ride reaches speeds of around 130 km/h (80 mph) in 2.83 seconds. Stealth was the fastest roller coaster in Europe, although it lost this record when Furius Baco opened in 2007 at Port Aventura in Spain. The ride produces G-forces of up to 4.8g and is thought to have cost £12 million.[1]
