Avoid them. There's no telling what would happen if you got too close. Catch their eye at the lunch line, flip your hair, and look away. Hold them in your heart, and never let them go. Look at them straight in the eye. Maybe they'll return the feeling. Sit next to them in class, ask to borrow notes: small gestures can sometimes lead to bigger things. Smile sweetly across the room. Start a conversation. You might as well grow closer to them. Try to forget about them. You woudn't want to hurt them. Try to make sure that they notice you, but try not to draw too much attention to yourself.

A clean break is sometimes for the best. You'll find someone else in due time. Hang out with your friends for a while, until your over it. Just because your lonely doesn't mean you're alone. It's okay. You'll find someone else in no time whose shoulder you can cry on. Maybe it was for the best, although you know you'll be upset. Spend weeks, maybe months, mopey and crying your eyes out. Stay calm, but get upset later. Try to move on, but spend some time thinking about them... and why they left you. What the hell!!!!! You'll win them back, there's no doubt about it. Whatever. There's other people out they who are as lonely and single as I am.
