Send the text back to your friend full of smilly faces and exclamation points. Skim through the text quickly because you expected it to be a friend telling you if the time of rehearsals had changed. Throw the phone at the wall and rant about how you hate chain-mail texts. You dont even bother to pick up the phone because working on your chemistry experiment is far more vital to the world. You don't read the text because that would mean getting off your weight bench and wasting time that could be spent perfecting your calves.

A Party? Hmm.. social gatherings make you nervous. You break out in a mysterious rash when in large groups.. Maybe a quick break from practice would do you some good. Cute girls and free food? Your there! No party for you tonight, you need to practice your monolouge for the auditions next week. You have no interest in a part. Your researching the next topic for your short story. You obsess over what to wear and who to take with you. Should you get your nails done? What color lip gloss? Life is hard when you have so many choices to make! You'd really like to go but, have a hard time deciding on whether to finish your sketchbook to show your art teacher. Zip up that leather jacket and hop on your motorcycle. A party is just what the doctor ordered!

Hmm..what if I have to kiss onstage? Man..how awkward. How riveting! Maybe I can invent a time machine and visit Rome and Carthage..hmm.. Let's see.. How much can I bench now? Oh man! The back window is open..I'm outta here! *makes a break for it* You look down at your paper and notice that you seem to have doodled everywhere. Why did you draw Pac-Man eating your dog? Do those dots on the ceiling look like Will Smith? You raise your hand and ask to be excused to go to the restroom. While outta class, you text your fingers off. Your too busy creating stories in your head to notice that the fire drill just went off..

Ahh! Absolutely a sign from the heavens! I can finally get more ink so I can print out my novel! All Right! New weights coming right up! Lovely. Funding for my new project..hmm, I'll be needing test subjects for this growth hormone. New art supplies! And about time, my oil pastels are down to the nub and my paint is getting crusty. Oooh! Yay! Definitely hitting up the mall. But shouldn't I feel a little guilty? Saaa-Weet! New bike helmet. Maybe some pimpin' flames on it too.. Should I search for the owner? Maybe this is my bit of good luck since I totally ruined rehearsals..
