Private Benjamin Carmine is Anthony Carmine's brother, although they're so similar they might as well be identical twins. Much like his brother, Benjamin is incredibly enthusiastic, reverent for senior Gears, and fond of wearing a helmet.
As the former youngest member of Delta Squad, Private Anthony Carmine makes up for his inexperience with unbridled enthusiasm and genuine respect for veterans like Dom and Marcus.
Dominic "Dom" Santiago is a COG soldier. Dom was the younger brother of Carlos Santiago and son of Eduardo Santiago and Eva Santiago. Born in a Pre E-Day Sera, he grew up listening to his father's war stories and going to school with Carlos and Marcus.
Marcus Fenix is a Sergeant in the COG Armed Forces. A legendary war hero, Marcus serves with distinction in the military, with few giving more and losing as much in the conflicts he fights in.
"Baird, can you get a blast charge ready?." "'Course. Regular or extra strength?" — Marcus Fenix and Damon Baird
Private Augustus Cole was once a successful Thrashball player known for his hard-hitting and flamboyant style. After Emergence Day, Cole joined the military and brought that same "grit and intensity" to the battlefield, which saved his life more than once.
"I thought she was supposed to be butt ugly!" — Augustus Cole
"So who the hell was that screaming Locust guy, anyway?" "No idea. Crazy bastard cut through a friggin' tank, though. He's gotta be a Locust big shot or something." "What? Like RAAM?" "Maybe... but he made RAAM look like a goddamn pushover." — Benjamin Carmine, Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago
The blood of billions (soldiers and innocents) are on his hands, both directly and indirectly. Once a Theron Guard, the cunning and ambitious RAAM usurped the military leadership of the Locust Horde through skill and intellect. RAAM was, quite possibly, half the reason the Locust were winning the war.
