My Truck is in the shop, for white smoke from my tailpipes and the results are not good at all (both heads were previously toasted and basically grinded down to function- aka junk now). Please let me know which of the 2 options below I should choose...

Buy another engine for $3500 all-in

Buy another engine for $3500 all-in Swap my old engine with heads that are toast and need to be replaced (109k miles) for another with engine (86k miles) ,. The substitute engine has 23k LESS miles than my current engine does.

Buy refurbished heads for about $2500 all-in

Buy refurbished heads for about $2500 all-in These refurbished heads will replace my junk heads that now qualify as "scrap metal".
