Anula vidyalaya Nugegoda Anula Vidyalaya is an exclusive Buddhist girl school founded in 1941 by Dr. E. W. Adikaram. Compared to its modest beginning with 38 pupils and 5 teachers, the school after 68 years of service to the nation has grown to over 4200 pupils guided by over 170 teachers on the staff.

Devi Balika Vidyalaya Devi Balika Vidyalaya is a girls' school in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was founded 15.01.1953 as Castle Street Girls School. Deshabandu Dr.(Mrs.) late Wimala De Silva was the founder Principal of Devi. It began with 5 teachers and 53 students. It has produced the first lady engineer and veterinary surgeon of Sri Lanka. In 1972 girls who passed the year 5 scholarship entered Devi Balika for the first time.

Holy Family Convent bambalapitiya 1903 to 1908 – The Holy Family sisters were forced to move the school premises several times. From Lauries Road, they shifted to a house on Galle Road, then to Clifford Road and Melbourne Avenue.

Musaeus College Musaeus College in Colombo, Sri Lanka is a Private girls' school. It was founded on 1895 by Mrs Marie Musaeus Higgins and Mr Peter De Abrew of the Buddhist Theosophical Society the former whom after school is named. The school is managed by a board of trustees. The school's motto is "Follow the Light".

In 1934, the mixed school of St. John's was separated and a Boys' and a Girls' school was established, henceforth to be known as the Samudra devi balika vidyalaya, Nugeogda.

Sirimavo balika vidyalaya The school inaugurated on 1st of January 1973 as Stanmore Crescent Primary School and re-named in December 1973 as Sirimavo Bandaranaike Primary Girls School in honor of then Prime Minister Madam Sirimavo R.D. Bandaranaike. From a Primary School, the school developed in to a secondary school and finally to a leading national school within seventeen years of period.

Vishaka vidyalaya Our school began under the name of "Buddhist Girls' College" in a house called "The Firs" at Turret Road, Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was moved to its present premises at Vajira Road on the 21st of November 1927 and named "Visakha Vidyalaya" by Lady Herbert Stanley, the wife of the then Governor of Ceylon. From humble beginnings, Visakha Vidyalaya has risen to the position of the most sought after school for girls in Sri Lanka. Furthermore, it is the only girls' school identified amongst the first National Schools in the Island.
